The price of gold increased again

Dhaka Bureau: The price of gold in the country’s market has increased by a record amount. This decision was taken by the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) in view of the increase in the price of acid gold (seasoned gold) in the local market. This new price is effective from Sunday, March 19.

Bajus Vice President MA Hannan Azad confirmed this information. He said that the price of high-quality gold has increased by more than 7 and a half thousand rupees. The new price has been set at 98 thousand 794 taka. Which is the highest in the history of the country.

Earlier on February 26, Bajus reduced the price of precious metal by Tk 1,167 per load. In this context, the price of good-quality (22-carat) gold decreased to 91 thousand 96 taka. To date, it has been sold at that price.

According to the new rates, 21-carat gold will be sold at Tk 94,303, 18-carat gold at Tk 80,832, and traditional gold at Tk 67,301.

However, there was no change in the price of silver. According to the category, the price of 22-carat silver is 1 thousand 715 taka. The price of 21 carats is 1 thousand 633 taka, the price of 18 carats is 1 thousand 400 taka, and the price of traditional silver is 1050 taka.
