International Desk: At least 17 passengers, including women and children, died in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a speeding truck on the tunnel route in the northwestern region of Pakistan. The accident occurred in the Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the early hours of Friday (03 February). Local emergency officials and state media reported this information.
Rescue officer Rahmat Ullah said, We brought the injured to a hospital in Kohat.
Broadcast TV footage showed images of the wrecked bus. Caretaker Chief Minister of the province Azam Khan expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic accident.
