Sports Desk: Chelsea already has a reputation for pouring money into the transfer market. However, the English club’s surprise at spending money to buy new players in this winter window is, in a word, surprising.

The January winter window is essentially a part-time transfer market. Clubs make up for the shortfall in squads left in the summer’s main transfer window by buying a couple of new players in the January window. However, Chelsea bought eight players in the part-time transfer market. Between 32 million and 65 million euros were poured behind those eight individuals.Bangladeshi currency: 3 thousand 789 crore, 88 lakh, and 4 thousand 727 taka!

It is doubtful whether any club has ever spent so much money on new players in the January winter window. Chelsea broke yet another record on its way to breaking the record for the most money spent. The day before yesterday, they brought in Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Portuguese club Benfica at the last minute of the January transfer window. Chelsea had to spend 12 million euros to sign the 22-year-old Argentine. 1 thousand 404 crore, 51 lakh, 92 thousand, and 563 Taka in Bangladeshi Taka. That figure makes Enzo Fernandez the most expensive footballer in the history of the English Premier League. Enzo Fernandez became the most expensive footballer in the history of Chelsea and Argentina!

not just this January. Chelsea has been surprising in signing new players in the transfer market over the last year.Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich lost ownership of Chelsea due to Russia’s attack on Ukraine. He had to flee with a huge amount of money. After he was ousted from ownership, another billionaire, Todd Bohley, bought ownership of the club last year. Ever since he took over, Chelsea have been spending a fortune on new players. Chelsea have spent more than £50 million on new players in the year since his arrival. The amount in Bangladeshi currency is 6 thousand, 542 crore, 88 lakh, 42 thousand, and 450 taka! Some newspapers even claimed the figure was 60 million pounds.

Despite pouring money into the transfer market, Chelsea is currently ranked 10 in the English Premier League points table!
