According to reports, the incident took place between late Friday night and Saturday local time in the city of Jerez, Zacatecas Province. During the incident, heavily armed men entered the bar in two vehicles and started firing indiscriminately, according to a report by the country’s security secretariat.
According to the report, six people died on the spot after the firing, and two others died while undergoing treatment. Five people injured by gunshots were hospitalized on Sunday.
