Sports Desk: FIFA recently sent a letter to Chief Finance Officer Abu Hossain and Assistant Finance Officer Anupam Sarkar in addition to general secretary Abu Naeem Sohag regarding several issues including inconsistencies in financial and purchase matters of Bafuf. Abdus Salam Murshedi, the chairman of the Finance Committee of Buff, also received that letter. Kazi Salahuddin doesn’t seem to know anything about FIFA’s letter. He found the media reports to be baseless. Salahuddin, who came to the press conference as a shield to save those accused, had to be plagued with questions. The head of the governing body of domestic football also gave various arguments while explaining why he himself did not receive the letter from FIFA.

On Monday (January 9), Kazi Salahuddin came to the Football Federation building with the vice-president Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan at 4 pm with the message of an emergency press conference. General Secretary Abu Naeem Sohag did not come today despite being present at all the press conferences of the federation.

Buffe president said, the thing you are talking about, we received a letter from FIFA in the name of four of us. But I don’t know anything. Officially I have not received any letter till now. I don’t know if he wrote to anyone personally. I was even told by the minister on Sunday (Minister of State for Youth and Sports) that you as Buff President take action against it. But on what action I will take, I have not received any letter.

He said, you can write, I have not received any guideline or letter from FIFA as president. If anyone has found anything, no one has told me. So is there any disruption in the chain of command? There is no chain of command here. FIFA did not tell me anything. The General Secretary’s responsibility is to inform me, but no one has informed me. I spoke to FIFA unofficially. FIFA told me, there is nothing to discuss with you in this matter. We are doing some investigation.

Can FIFA send a letter to someone else by bypassing the head of the Football Federation? In response to this question, Kazi Salauddin said that FIFA can say it well. And why FIFA didn’t tell me, that’s up to them. That is why today is in front of you to correct the mistake. What you said may be correct, but not correct.

Blaming the media for the Anti-Corruption Commission’s investigation against him, Salahuddin said, “People stopped coming to the field in your Half News, sponsors stopped coming.” I don’t know why, for what purpose. Half hearted, baseless news hurts us. The game is played 2 days a week. I came to the press conference today to express my grief.

Since everything is created by the media, why don’t you take legal action, Salahuddin said in reply, I have thought about taking legal action. I will hire a lawyer so that he can deal with this if it comes up.
