Bichitar-Sambad Desk: Iran’s Afsin Ismail Gaderzadeh has been named in the Guinness World Records as the world’s ‘smallest’ person. At just 2 feet 1.6 inches (65.24 cm), 20-year-old Afsin became the world’s shortest person.

This record was previously held by 36-year-old Edward Nino Hernandez of Colombia. However, Afsin’s height is 7 centimeters (2.7 inches) shorter than that. Afsin had to go to Dubai to get his name in the Guinness World Records. There his height was measured 3 times separately in 24 hours.

According to The Wall, Afsin is a resident of a remote village in Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. He can speak Kurdish and Persian fluently. Afsin’s birth weight was only 700 grams. Currently his weight is 6.5 kg.

Afsin had a different childhood due to his unusually short height. He was a source of laughter for everyone. As a result, his schooling did not progress far. Due to his height, he is currently not getting any work in the village.

Afrin’s father said Afsin’s treatment started due to physical weakness. That is why he was forced to stop his studies. However, Afsin’s father said that his son has no mental problems.
