Sports Desk: Many teams have found themselves in the rise of the petrodollar. England’s Manchester City, Newcastle United, or the entire Saudi League have created their own separate space in the football world due to the abundance of the Middle East. However, Paris Saint-Germain has probably had to bear the brunt of the criticism the most.

Since Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s investment in France’s Ligue 1, Paris has reigned supreme there. They have won the title in 11 of the last 13 seasons in the French league. This season, they have secured their fourth consecutive league title. Naturally, there are many discussions about the French league.

The French league has become known to the football world as the Farmers’ League. Where PSG has traditionally dominated other teams.

However, PSG is not only a dominant team in its own league. They have defeated four teams from the English Premier League, arguably the best league in the world. Thanks to that, they have also reached the Champions League final. The last time they won at home was against Arsenal. And after such a victory, PSG coach Luis Enrique did not fail to give the football world a little shock.

After winning against Arsenal and confirming the Champions League final, Enrique brought up the topic of the farmers’ league in front of the TNT Sports camera. When asked about defeating the English league teams, Enrique said, ‘We are the farmers’ league, right? We are the farmers’ league. But it feels good. We are enjoying the result, and everyone is praising our team. They are talking about our mentality, the way we played. Our team is young. But our mentality and the way we are playing is extraordinary.’

This season, PSG has defeated three English clubs in the knockout stages. Liverpool, who won the Premier League title this season, were eliminated in the Round of Sixteen. They were defeated by Aston Villa in the quarter-finals. And in the semi-finals, PSG defeated Arsenal 3-1 on aggregate.

However, Luis Enrique will face an Italian opponent in the final, not an English one. PSG will face Inter Milan in the Champions League final at the Allianz Arena in Munich on May 31. In addition, he has the opportunity to win the treble for the second time in his career. Therefore, in addition to the Champions League final, he will also have to win the French Cup final on May 24.
