International Desk: Israel has warned that a strong attack will be launched in the Middle East tonight (Wednesday) in response to Iran’s missile attack on Israel. This announcement was made by the spokesman of the country’s military, Rear Admiral Daniel Hageri, on Tuesday (October 1) night.
In a statement, spokesman Daniel Hagery said, “Iran has done serious things and has pushed the Middle East to a point of tension.” Tonight, Iran will suffer the consequences of this action.
The impact of the Iranian attack was minimal, he said, adding that there were no casualties due to the responsible behavior of the public, the activation of our defenses, and the actions of partners to protect the State of Israel. We will continue to do so, offensively and defensively.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the elite wing of Iran’s military, fired 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday night. Most of the missiles, however, were destroyed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) before they hit their targets. However, a few missiles could not be destroyed. No casualty has yet been reported in this attack. The Israeli government has declared a state of emergency in the country.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning against Iran for launching missile attacks on Israeli territory. In an immediate response, Netanyahu said, “Iran has made a big mistake tonight.” The country will have to pay a high price for this.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says that this missile attack was carried out in response to the recent killings of senior commanders of Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran. If Israel responds to this attack, more attacks will follow.
Meanwhile, Israel carried out airstrikes on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, despite Iran’s attacks. The United Nations Security Council is going to meet on Wednesday to discuss this conflict in the Middle East.
