International Desk: World-famous Islamic orator and scholar Zakir Naik has visited the country on the invitation of the Pakistani government. Pakistan gave him a red carpet reception there. He was given this reception after he landed at Pakistan’s New Islamabad Airport on Monday morning (September 30).
According to the Pakistani media, the Express Tribune, Zakir Naik went to Pakistan with a plan to stay for about a month. His son Fariq Naik, himself an Islamic scholar, accompanied Zakir on the trip. A few members of his team Team Zakir Naik also went to Pakistan.
Tight security was imposed at the New Islamabad airport on Zakir Naik’s arrival. Chairman of Pakistan Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Masood, additional secretary of the country’s Ministry of Religion Syed Ata-ur-Rehman, and some high-ranking bureaucrats welcomed him.
Pakistani government officials said that Zakir will meet with several high-ranking officials of Pakistan during this one-month visit and also attend some religious events in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.
