According to UNRWA, 12,000 displaced people took shelter in Al-Zawni. Most of them are women and children. The Israeli forces launched two air strikes there.
The shelter was run by the United Nations, and the manager was also killed in the attack. No one is safe in Gaza, UNRWA said on social media. No one is spared.
Al Jazeera journalist Tariq Abu Ajjoum said from the scene that the school was destroyed to a large extent.
