Sports Desk: Former captain Khaled Mahmud Sujan has resigned from the post of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director. A BCB source confirmed the news on Wednesday. However, the reason for his resignation was not immediately known.
Apart from being a board director, Sujan is the head coach of Abahani Limited in the Dhaka Premier League. He has handled the coaching duties of various franchises in BPL. Besides, this former captain of the Tigers is also in charge of Bangla Track Academy in Rajshahi.
When a big tournament comes to Bangladesh, a team director is sent with the team. Most of the time it was Khaled Mahmud Sujan. He was also in charge of the last ODI World Cup.
Recently, there was a reshuffle of the post of president in the BCB after the interim government took place. Former captain Farooq Ahmed was elected president in place of Nazmul Hasan Papon. Earlier, former captain Naimur Rahman Durjoy resigned as BCB director.
