Mohajerani, now 54, was born in 1970 in Arak, Markazi Province, Iran. He received his Doctorate of Business Administration degree from the Edinburgh campus of Heriot-Watt University in Scotland.
During Hassan Rouhani’s government, Mohajerani served as head of Iran’s Shariah Technical and Vocational Training University. It is an institution for women students. Before that, he was appointed as the head of the Center for Brilliant Talent in 2017. Mohajerani has held various other roles in the Ministry of Education throughout his career.
