International Desk: The Taliban government has passed a new law to ban the women of Afghanistan from speaking loudly in public. As a result, Afghan women cannot do things like talk loudly in public transport or sing in public. This information was reported by the American broadcaster CNN, citing the news agency AP.

Taliban government spokesman Maulvi Abdul Ghafar Farooq said the Taliban’s supreme leader, Hibatullah Akhundzada, approved the law last Wednesday.

According to the new law, women must cover their faces and bodies from men with cloth and keep their voices hidden if they have to go outside the house. The law also states that women’s clothing should not be thin, short, or tight in any way.

The directive issued by the Taliban also states that women’s voices are seductive, so women should not sing, recite, or study aloud in public. The Taliban also forbid women from looking at men who are not related by blood or marriage.

Maulvi Abdul Ghafar Farooq said, “This Sharia law will help to promote virtue and keep people away from wickedness, Insha’Allah.”

The new law also states that women who disobey this new law will be arrested and sent to prison.

The new law has sparked outrage among Afghan women. Experts also say that the Taliban government’s ban on women has become the biggest obstacle to Afghanistan’s integration into the international mainstream.
