The Crime Desk: Russia is closely monitoring the ongoing situation in Bangladesh. The Russian Embassy in Bangladesh issued a statement on Monday (August 5) quoting their Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in its statement that Moscow considers the change of government in Bangladesh to be an internal matter of the country. However, we look forward to those friendly internal political processes.
Russia hopes that Bangladesh will return to its constitutional rules as soon as possible.
It should be noted that a large number of protestors have lost their lives in recent weeks in the ongoing quota reform movement in Bangladesh. In the context of this incident, massive anti-government protests were created in the country. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the country in the face of ongoing protests on Monday.
