International Desk: Hundreds of journalists have been killed in the last seven months in the ongoing operation of the Israeli forces in Gaza. Reporters Without Borders (RSF) filed a case with the International Criminal Court (ICC), accusing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) of the incident.

The indictment of the case filed on Monday (May 27) at the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands, states, “More than 100 journalists have been killed in the war in Gaza so far.” Almost all of them were killed while performing their professional duties, and we all have good reason to believe that these incidents were not mere accidents, but many journalists were deliberately targeted.” AFP reports.

“People have a right to accurate information, and this right becomes essential in times of conflict,” RSF assistant director Antonio Bernard told AFP. Therefore, the killing of journalists is not just an ordinary murder; it is an attack on people’s right to information.

According to the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), another international organization of journalists, a total of 107 journalists have been killed in Gaza since the start of the Israeli military operation on October 7.
