International Desk: Seven members of security forces were killed in two separate terrorist attacks in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Apart from this, at least two people were injured.
Pakistani media Dawn reported that two attacks took place on Saturday (May 10) in the Hasan Khel area of Datta Khel town in North Waziristan district tehsil and the Mir Ali town border area.
The first incident of attack happened in Hasan Khale. A bomb blast targeted the bomb disposal unit of the security forces there. After the blast, the militants opened fire on the security forces. As a result, five security forces were killed on the spot, and two others were seriously injured.
In another incident, militants attacked a security post in the border area. Two members of the security forces were killed in their attack here.
The bodies of the slain security personnel and the injured were taken to Bannu Military Hospital by helicopter.
Security forces cordoned off both places after the attack. After that, a search operation was started in the area.
