Sylhet Correspondent: Former Bangladesh national team captain and star cricketer Tamim Iqbal participated in the city road cleaning campaign along with Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury.
On Friday, May 10, around 10:30 p.m., he participated in the cleanliness drive from Nagar Bhavan to Surma Tir in front of Sylhet Circuit House. Sisik said that Tamim Iqbal participated in this program to encourage the city residents to do cleanliness work.
Tamim Iqbal said in the cleanliness campaign that the people of Sylhet have a different reputation all over the country. This city, which is known as the holy land, is now more clean than before. Especially on the sidewalks and streets, there is no trouble with hawkers.
He also said that if Sisik Mayor continues this continuity, Sylhet will be an example for the entire country in the next four and a half years. He thinks that the current mayor has sincerity and competence.
Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Md. Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury thanked and congratulated Tamim Iqbal for coming to Sylhet and participating in the cleaning campaign, saying that Tamim proved that he is not only a sportsman but also a responsible and conscious citizen by cleaning the streets of Sylhet. He has no shortage of devotees in this spiritual city. Seeing him, everyone will be sincere about keeping the city more clean.
