Modi-Amit Shah voted in the third phase of the election

International Desk: Voting for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections in India has started at 7 a.m. on Tuesday. 93 constituencies in 12 states and Union Territories are voting in this third phase of the elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah went to the polling booths early on Tuesday morning to cast their votes. They voted in a school in Ahmedabad. News from NDTV.

Enthusiastic crowds gathered on both sides of the road to see them. Modi appealed to the voters to vote in record numbers in the third phase.

People are going to the polling station to vote, even in the heat. Many people are taking water bottles and fruits to get relief from the heat. Voters plan to reach polling stations early in the morning to avoid queues.

The fate of a total of 1331 candidates will be decided in today’s polling. In this phase, the polling is in 4 seats in West Bengal, 4 in Assam, 5 in Bihar, 7 in Chhattisgarh, 2 in Goa, 25 in Gujarat, 14 in Karnataka, 9 in Madhya Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, 10 in Uttar Pradesh, 1 in Dadra and Nagar Habeli, and 1 in Daman and Diu.

After the polling phase, voting will be completed in almost half of the 543 seats in the lower house of parliament.

Several heavyweight leaders, including Amit Shah, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Prahlad Patel, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Digvijay Singh, are under test in this election.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote to the voters, ‘Those who will exercise their right to vote in the third phase of elections today must vote for the formation of a corruption-free government.

Two phases of polling have already been completed in the Lok Sabha elections. After the third phase, four more phases will remain.

The seven-phase voting for the Lok Sabha elections in India, the world’s largest democratic country, began on April 19. It will end on June 1. The election results will be announced on June 4. In this election, the number of voters in India is about 97 crore.
