Satkhira Correspondent: Sejunti Das Prabha was diagnosed with incurable blood cancer at the age of 4. Since then, he has been receiving treatment with public assistance. At present, 30 to 40 lakh rupees are needed to save him.
Sejunti is the only child of Saday Das and Josna Das of Tala upazila in Satkhira district. Sejuti’s father is a poor NGO worker by profession, and his mother is a housewife. They run out of water to bring salt to the family. He has already dug up the last bit of soil for the treatment of the burden on the family. 30 to 40 lakh rupees are needed now to save the only child. Not finding the means, his parents sought the help of the rich people of society.
Sejunti’s father, Saday Dash, said that in 2019, Sejunti was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) blood cancer. He is now nine years old.
Since then, with the overall support of the Prime Minister’s own office, local administration, members of Parliament, journalists, schools, colleges, markets, and all levels of people, he has been cured by receiving treatment from the Vellore CMC Hospital in India.
Recently, when she was sick, when she was shown to the doctor of Bangladesh Specialized Hospital, Mohammad Monirul Islam, he conducted an examination and said that Sejuti has again suffered from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, i.e., blood cancer. To save him, a bone marrow transplant is absolutely necessary. This type of treatment will cost approximately 30 to 40 lakh rupees. Which is not possible for his family. So he asked for the help of all the rich people in society to save the only child.
