This match was held at Al-Bayat Stadium on Sunday (November 20) at 10 pm Bangladesh time. In the first half of the game, Ecuador scored 2 goals against Qatar for the first time in the World Cup. In the 16th minute of the start of the game, Ecuador’s Inner Valencia scored the first goal of the season to stun the hosts. He gave Ecuador a 1-0 lead by scoring from the penalty spot. Qatar created a chance to repay a goal late in the first half. But despite receiving a great cross in the box, Al Moez failed to touch his head. There was a fairly empty net in front of him. A goal was scored only if the head was touched properly.
Qatar tried to turn around in the second half. But did not succeed with Ecuador. On the other hand, Ecuador continues to attack. In the end there were no more goals and Ecuador won 2-0.
