International Desk: Five people were killed and 18 injured in a shooting at a gay nightclub in the Colorado Springs area of the US state of Colorado. The incident happened on Saturday night (November 19) local time. Guardian media reported such information in a report citing the local police.
Colorado Springs Police Lt. Pamela Castro has identified a suspect in the shooting. He said that the suspect is currently undergoing treatment in security custody.
Colorado Springs Fire Capt. Mike Smaldino said the attacker’s motive was not immediately known. After calling the emergency number, 11 ambulances arrived at the scene.
