The Crime Desk: “104th Birth Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day-2024” has been celebrated with due dignity by the Bangladesh Consulate, Dubai, and the Northern Emirates.
Consul General BM Jamal Hossain presided over the event, and the Bangladeshi expatriates, including the officials of the Bangladesh Consulate in Dubai, officials of Bangladesh Biman and Janata Bank, and leaders of the Bengali community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, were present.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Consul General BM Jamal Hossain hoisted the national flag in the presence of all the consulate officials, invited guests, and placed a wreath on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest architect of independence.
At the beginning of the discussion program, on the occasion of this important national day, the messages given by the President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister were read, respectively, by the Counselor (Labor Welfare) of the Consulate. Abdus Salam, Counselor (Passport and Visa) Mohammad Kazi Faisal, and First Secretary (Press) Md. Arifur Rahman.
After the speech, a documentary on the day was screened, and then an open discussion was held.
The speakers highlighted the importance and significance of the March 17th celebration and said that the celebration of this day will play an important role in informing the next generation about Bangabandhu and inspiring him with his ideals to form brave citizens with a sense of patriotism. In the speech of the President, Consul General BM Jamal Hossain said that March 17 is the birthday of the hero of freedom of order. Bangabandhu was a great man who fulfilled the dream of freedom from exploitation cherished in the hearts of Bengalis for thousands of years. He called upon the present and future generations to follow the ideals of Bangabandhu, develop themselves as good citizens, and dedicate themselves to the development of the country.
At the end of the ceremony, in the presence of all, prayers were offered for the souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, all the martyred members of his family, and for the peace and development of the country.
