International Desk: The Yemeni Navy launched a missile attack on a US destroyer off the coast of the Red Sea.
Brigadier General Yahya Sariyi, spokesman of the military forces supported by the Houthi rebels, reported this information. However, according to the news from the American media, CNN, the missile was destroyed before it hit the warship.
In a statement broadcast on Yemeni television on Wednesday, the country’s military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sariyi, said the Yemeni navy had launched an operation against the US destroyer USS Gridley.
He made it clear that this operation was carried out to protest against the barbaric aggression of Zionist Israel on Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip and to avenge the aggression of American and British forces on Yemen.
All British and US warships stationed in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea are legitimate targets of the Yemeni military, General Sariyi said.
He said that, as the Yemeni military has the right to protect its homeland, support for the Palestinians will also remain unwavering.
