International Desk: The number of dead in the barbaric Israeli attack on Gaza, which is besieged by Palestine, has reached almost 27,000. About 66,000 people were injured. This barrage of occupying forces in this blockaded territory has lasted almost four months.
According to a report of the Turkish media Anadolu, the Ministry of Health of Gaza said on Wednesday – since October 7, the number of people killed in the Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip has reached 26 thousand 900 people. This marks the 117th day of the deadly Israeli attack.
Gaza’s health ministry said in a statement that another 65,949 people were injured in the attack.
In the last 24 hours, the Israeli army carried out 16 “massacres” in the Gaza Strip, the statement said. As a result, 150 people were killed and 313 others were injured. Many people are still trapped under the rubble, and rescuers are unable to reach them.
It should be noted that since the unprecedented cross-border attack by Hamas on October 7, Israel has been carrying out continuous air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip. Thousands of buildings, including hospitals, schools, refugee camps, mosques, and churches, have been damaged or destroyed in this Israeli attack.
After a week-long humanitarian break with Hamas, Israel resumed air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip from the beginning of December. The occupation forces intensified the attack on Gaza in this operation that started after a pause.
Israeli strikes have reduced Gaza to rubble. According to the United Nations, about 85 percent of Gaza’s Palestinians have been displaced by Israel’s brutal offensive. And with severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, all of Gaza is now food insecure.
In addition, 60 percent of the infrastructure in the besieged territory has been damaged or destroyed. Thousands of people are living without any form of shelter, and fewer relief trucks are entering the region than are needed.
