International desk: Iran’s armed forces have started a massive air defense exercise since last Thursday.
In this exercise named ‘Guardians of Belayat Sky 1402’, along with the air defense units of the Iranian army, the aerospace force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, the air force, and several other related units are taking part. Khabar Reuters.
Brigadier General Abbas Farajpur, the spokesman for the joint air defense exercise of the armed forces, said today in the southern port of Abbas that various types of missiles, radar, intelligence, and electronic warfare equipment made in the country are being used in this exercise.
On the second day of the exercise on Friday, various strategies were adopted to counter the electronic and cyber attacks of the enemy. These methods and techniques have been successfully applied against imaginary enemies in various ways.
The aim of this exercise is to strengthen preparations so that the enemy cannot disable Iran’s air defense system and radar system.
Besides, various low-flying targets were destroyed with the help of the short-range ‘Nine Dei’ missile defense system during the exercise. Iran conducts such exercises every year.
