Dhaka Bureau: On the occasion of the 12th National Assembly elections, all scheduled banks will be closed on January 7. Last Sunday (December 31), Bangladesh Bank gave this instruction through a notification.
According to the notification of the Central Bank, according to the notification published by the Ministry of Public Administration on December 28, all scheduled banks in the country will be closed on January 7 to facilitate the voting rights of the officials and employees of the scheduled banks on the occasion of the 12th National Assembly elections.
On the occasion of the election, the government announced a general election holiday on December 28 across the country.
It is said in the notification that on the day of polling, a general election holiday has been declared throughout the country to facilitate the exercise of voting rights and voting for the officers and employees working in all government, semi-government, autonomous, and private offices, institutions, and organizations.
