It said Congressional review had been ignored because the US Secretary of State had confirmed the need for immediate arms sales to the government of Israel due to an emergency.
The statement added that the weapons will be supplied from the stockpiles of the US Army. Israel will use these weapons to strengthen its own defense capabilities, including countering regional threats. A year ago, at the beginning of this month, the United States delivered 14,000 tank shells to Israel on an emergency basis.
