International Desk: The senior adviser of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Said Razi Mousavi, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Damascus, the capital of Syria. Said Razi Mousavi served as the coordinator of the military alliance between Syria and Iran.
He was killed in an Israeli airstrike outside Damascus on Monday. This information was given in a report by Iran’s state news agency, IRNA.
Iran’s state television aired the news of Mousavi’s death by canceling regular news broadcasts. He has been cited as the IRGC’s most experienced advisor in Syria. However, the Israeli military has not yet commented on his death.
Commander Saeed Razi Mousavi was one of the companions of the former commander of Iran’s IRGC, General Qassem Soleimani. Soleimani was killed in a US drone strike in Iraq in 2020. Soleimani played a key role in coordinating Iran’s regional activities.
