International Desk: The Saudi prince says that those who do not mind spending money like water. A Saudi prince proved that once again. He set a precedent by booking separate seats on the plane for 80 pet falcons.

According to CN Traveller, the incident occurred in 2017. Recently, that news has gone viral again in the net world. The prince of Saudi Arabia booked every seat on the plane for his birds so that they could travel comfortably and safely.

The images show the hawks sitting comfortably in airplane seats, each wearing a hood and strapped in securely. Reddit user Lensu posted a shot of the bird sitting in a coach with some human passengers. The photo was captioned, ‘My captain friend sent me this photo.’ ‘Saudi Prince bought tickets for his 80 hawks’. While this incident may seem strange, CN Traveler reports that the practice of transporting falcons on planes is not uncommon in the Middle East.

Falconry holds significant cultural and historical status in the Arabian Peninsula. This tradition dates back thousands of years and is deeply intertwined with Arab heritage and identity. Falconry is a popular sport in Middle Eastern countries. This game has been played in the Middle East for thousands of years. This sport is so popular that it is said that the birds participating in it also have separate passports. This arrangement is done so that the falcons can accompany their owners outside the country.

Qatar Airways reportedly allows a maximum of six falcons per customer, NDTV reported. Etihad Airways allows the Falcon to be carried in the main cabin or with baggage, Gizmodo reported. The falcon is the national bird of the UAE, so several Gulf airlines have special arrangements for transporting them.
