International Desk: After the 6-day cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas ongoing war, Israel has resumed ground and air strikes in Gaza. 180 Palestinians were killed in Gaza on the first day of the operation. AFP confirmed this information, citing the Ministry of Health of Hamas, which controls Gaza.
Israel and Hamas reached a temporary cease-fire on November 25 to allow the exchange of hostages and the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza in the month and a half since the start of the war. After the break, Israel resumed operations in Gaza early Friday (December 1).
