In Nepal, 132 people were killed in an earthquake

International Desk: The death toll from the magnitude 6.4 earthquake that struck Nepal on Friday night has risen to 132. About a hundred people were injured. The country’s authorities have said that the death toll may increase. This information was reported in various media on Saturday, November 4.
 
After the earthquake, locals were seen trying to rescue those trapped in the rubble throughout the night. Several houses in the country were completely destroyed and damaged by the earthquake. Many people spent the night on the streets in fear.

The Prime Minister’s Office of Nepal wrote on social media X (formerly Twitter), expressing deep grief over the casualties and material damage caused by the earthquake that struck at 11:47 p.m. on Friday. At the same time, three security agencies were immediately deployed to carry out the rescue operation.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake was 42 kilometers south of Jumla, Nepal. It is reported that the tremor was felt in different parts of Nepal for at least a minute.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s National Center for Seismology (NCS) said the epicenter was 10 km below the surface. With this, the country has been hit by three strong earthquakes in the past month.
