Khadem Mohammad Ali Shah, dedicated to the shrine of Lalon Shah, said that the devotees who came here from far away think that two thousand years ago, philosopher Socrates’ famous sayings like ‘Bani no dai self’ left a mark on people’s minds and influenced the development of world civilization. After all this time, the music and philosophy of Mahamati Lalan, a philosopher of spiritual thought, have become the centers of interest for free-thinking researchers at home and abroad. Although before this, the Dol Utsav and Tirodhan Divas (1st Kartik 1297) from the lifetime of Baul saint Fakir Lalon Shah (1774–1890) were celebrated by devotees of spiritual guru Lalon Shah in their own style of ritual to remember Saiji on this day. Wait for Saiji’s shrine, which has been filled to the brim with the tide of his Badhvanga Sadhu.
Researcher Simon Zakaria said Baul Sadhak Fakir Lalan was the leader of spiritual philosophy. Fakir Lalan Saiji is a lyricist, composer, singer, guru of the Baul community, a humanist thinker among caste communities, and one of the founders of secular religion. His lyrics have spread beyond the borders of the country to the international arena as well. Lalan has attracted interest not only from Bangladesh or India but also from researchers all over the world. At least three dozen leading universities in the world are conducting research on nutrition. Lalan Kushtia is not a chauriya; not Bangladesh; India is not the wealth of the whole world. Now the thing is, Lalan will no longer be nurtured by deviating from the reality of the environment and lifestyle through which he has been nurtured. If you want to understand, know, or think about Lalan, you have to do it like Sadhu Guru Baul Fakirs, who follow Lalan. It is impossible to practice nurturing under any forced or imposed rules. Researchers from different countries around the world are doing research on Lalan. They have already admitted that nurturing practice is possible only on the basis of nurturing philosophy. Now it is said—is it happening like that or not? Kushtia Cheuriaya Lalon Shah’s shrine in Lalan Academy: how far has it progressed in the practice of nurturing? Or is there a possibility to move forward? All those who have or are doing research on fostering agree that fostering cannot be opened by confining it to government administrative structures. In order to do this, it is necessary to understand the language of the Baul Saints, who come from far away in the country, and ensure a favorable environment for them to spread the idea of nurturing. Man’s worldly life spans many areas, such as: In the same way, Lalan should be enriched through the exchange of thoughts of all the Baul saints who come here. He also wanted to give such a message in his play titled ‘Uttar Lalan Charit’ in his writings. According to him, instead of confining Lalon to the administrative structure, those who are in charge of the relevant ministries of the government have worked to bring Lalan to the world—researchers, artists, and the famous Baul Sadhak Fakir of the main Lalan Anda—through an open exchange of ideas with devotees. Through beautiful guidance, the true nature of nurturing practice can come out. In this way, the philosophy that Bish wants to nurture the message of liberation in humanity will expand.
Kushtia District Commissioner and Lalon Academy President Md. Ehetesham Reza confirmed that all possible preparations are being made by Lalon Academy, district administration, and police administration for the 3-day event to celebrate the 133rd anniversary of Lalon Shah.
