International Desk: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi started cleaning with a broom. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, an hour-long cleanliness drive was conducted across India.
Fitness influencer Ankit Byapuria joined Modi in this event.
A video in this regard has been released by Narendra Modi’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. The video has already gone viral.
In the video, the two clean the dirt together in an enclosed area.
In a tweet, Modi wrote, ‘As the whole country is emphasizing transparency, I and Ankit Byapuria have done the same. Along with cleanliness, we have also discussed health and well-being. All this is transparent and the effect of Health India.’
Apart from Modi, several BJP leaders and Union Ministers participated in this cleanliness drive in different parts of the country. In a recent episode of ‘Maan Ki Baat’, Modi urged the countrymen to make a ‘volunteer sacrifice for cleanliness’ on October 1.
He also said at that time that, by doing this work, on the eve of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, ‘volunteer devotion’ would be shown to him.
