Bangladesh has never failed to repay its debt

Dhaka Bureau: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that Bangladesh has never failed to pay its debts. He expressed hope for keeping this record in the future. The prime minister said this at the high-level round table meeting on balanced economic infrastructure at the United Nations on Tuesday (September 19) local time.

The Prime Minister said that there is a need to create a special fund for developing countries to provide easy long-term financing. Besides, the head of government put forward a five-point proposal to resolve the global financial crisis. Earlier, the ‘Brown University Medical School’ of the United States gave a special honor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her contribution to the development of public health at the UN-recognized Community Clinic of Bangladesh.

The award was given to the Prime Minister at the New York Palace Hotel in Lotte, USA, on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked the United Nations for recognizing the community clinic as ‘The Sheikh Hasina Initiative’. The Prime Minister said that the innovation of Bangladesh is being followed in the developing countries of the world and urged spreading this idea all over the world.
