144 taka increased in the cylinder LPG

Dhaka Bureau: The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has increased further. 144 rupees per cylinder has increased this time. As a result of the price hike, the customer will have to pay Tk 1,284 for a 12-kg cylinder this September. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the price increase at a press conference on Sunday (September 3) afternoon. This price will be effective today.

In the press conference, BERC Chairman Md. Nurul Amin said that the price of 12 kg of LPG was Tk 1,140 in August. In July, this price was 999 rupees. Now the new price has been fixed in coordination with the international market. The price of 12 kg of LPG has been increased by Tk 144 to Tk 1,284. Simultaneously, the price of LPG at other weights has also increased.

According to the new decision, the price of five and a half kg of bottled LPG is Tk 589, 12 and a half kg is Tk 1,338, 15 kg is Tk 1,605, 16 kg is Tk 1,712, 18 kg is Tk 1,926, and 20 kg is Tk 1,000. 140 taka, 22 kg, 2 thousand 355 taka, 25 kg, 2 thousand 675 taka, 30 kg, 3 thousand 210 taka, 33 kg, 3 thousand 531 taka, 35 kg, 3 thousand 745 taka, and 45 kg, the price has been set at 4 thousand 815 taka. BERC said that LPG cannot be sold above the prescribed price at any stage. The new price at the consumer level will be effective Sunday evening.
