International media could not immediately report whether anyone was injured in the earthquake that hit the western part of the country. The effects of the earthquake in Nepal were also felt in northern India and the city of Delhi.
The Geological Survey-USGS said the epicenter of the earthquake was 15 kilometers below the surface near the town of Dipayal. Dipayal town is located 340 km west of Kathmandu.
However, the Seismological Department of India said that the magnitude of the earthquake that struck Nepal was 6.3.
In a few videos circulating on Facebook, tremors were felt in Delhi as well. At that time the residents were panicked.
Earlier on the same day on Tuesday (November 9) around 9 pm, another earthquake struck the western part of Nepal, USGS said. The magnitude of that earthquake was 4.8.
