Sports Desk: Liverpool bought Argentinian midfielder Alexis McAllister from Brighton for 50.5 million euros.
Liverpool signed the Argentina star on a five-year deal, until 2028. Liverpool announced the decision to bring McKay to the team this afternoon (June 8) on their website.
In January 2019, he joined the English club from Argentina Juniors. After that, however, he also played on loan at Argentinos Juniors and Boca Juniors for two periods.
He made his league debut in March 2020. However, this footballer developed himself by playing under former Brighton coach Graham Potter.
Many also compare him with Luka Modric. He played 112 matches for Brighton and scored 20 goals.
Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp said, “We are bringing a talented, smart, tactically great footballer to the team. This is great news for us.
He came into the discussion because of his great performance for Argentina in the World Cup. His talent was seen in several matches, including the final. “It’s an amazing feeling,” said the midfielder on joining Liverpool. A dream come true. It feels great to be here. I am looking forward to getting on the field.
