Sports desk: Sevilla is called the king of the UEFA Europa League. There is, however, a corresponding reason for saying so. No one even has half as many titles as them. Besides, every time they have played in the Europa League final, they have been champions.

They showcased a record seventh title by beating Italian club AS Roma 4-1 in a tiebreaker on Wednesday night. After Sevilla, Inter Milan, Liverpool, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid have three titles each in the showcase.

However, Jose Mourinho’s men played well in the final in Budapest, Hungary. Paulo Dybala took the lead in the 34th minute of the match. The lead was up to 54 minutes. Then Roma’s Gianluca Mancini’s own goal equalized for Sevilla.

The 90-minute game ended with that tie. Then the match went into extra time. Even in 120 minutes, the 1-1 goal is not broken. The match is made in a test of luck called a tiebreaker. Sevilla won the title by defeating Roma 4-1 in that test.

In the tiebreaker, Sevilla goalkeeper Yassin Bounu, who had a great game at the World Cup, saved two shots from Roma. On the other hand, his teammates secured the victory by hitting four shots in a row.

It was Jose Mourinho’s first defeat in the last six European finals. On the other hand, after playing in the final seven times, King Sevilla won the title seven times.
