International Desk: Israeli forces have carried out airstrikes in the Gaza Strip. At least 10 people were killed. Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported this information on Tuesday. According to Israel, they targeted the positions of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a Palestinian armed group.
Youmna El Said, an Israeli journalist from Gaza, said that the country’s Ministry of Health said that 10 people were killed in the Gaza Strip and many people were injured in Israeli airstrikes.
Around 2 p.m. local time on Tuesday, explosions were heard targeting residential apartments in various parts of Gaza.
El Saeed said, ‘The names of the dead or the number of injured could not be ascertained. We have just confirmed that airstrikes have been carried out in various parts of the Gaza Strip. At least 10 people were killed in the attack.
“Whenever residential apartments are targeted, there are always civilian casualties,” he added.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement announced on Tuesday that three of its leaders had been killed in an airstrike. The dead were Jihad al-Ghannam, Khalil al-Bahtini, and Tariq ez al-Din.
