According to reports, opposition leader Imran alleged that the army had sided with the country’s ‘corrupt mafia’ to prevent him from returning to power. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan addressed party supporters in Lahore last Friday (April 14) evening.
At the same time, Imran urged the party supporters to stand by the country’s highest court. He claimed that the ‘imported government’ was trying to disrespect the Supreme Court.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led coalition government has imposed an ‘undeclared ban’ on the broadcasting of Imran Khan’s speech on the country’s electronic media. He strongly criticized the Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif government. Imran expressed deep concern over the division in the Supreme Court.
Regarding the division in the Supreme Court, Imran said, ‘The government is trying all kinds of things to disrespect the Supreme Court. So I urge everyone to stand by the Supreme Court. Pakistan’s democracy now depends on the Supreme Court. Those who want democracy should stand by them.’
The ousted prime minister said, “If the government does not stop the conspiracy against the Supreme Court and does not hold the provincial elections in Punjab on May 14 as per the decision of the Supreme Court, then the entire nation should be ready to take to the streets after Eid.” I will lead this movement from the front.
Addressing the army, Imran Khan said, ‘They should remember that they cannot force the people of the country to follow the rule of the corrupt. The army must remember that violent tactics do not work during the rise of a nation. My party workers are being harassed. They wanted to silence the leaders and workers of my party. didn’t work, I will say that even if you do it again, it won’t work.’
