International Desk: The Israeli police have again attacked the worshipers in the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, which is occupied by Palestine. The attack took place on Wednesday (April 5) for the second consecutive night during the holy month of Ramadan.

It has spread violence throughout the West Bank of Palestine. Qatar-based Al Jazeera reported this information in a report on Thursday (April 6).

Armed Israeli police attacked the Al-Aqsa Mosque prayer hall again on Wednesday night, according to reports. Israel attacked Palestinian worshipers for the second night in a row.

The report also says that many videos of armed Israeli police attacks on the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque have started to surface. In these videos, the scene of the attack was seen in the same way as the first attack in the early morning of the previous day. At that time, the Israeli police entered the mosque with batons, tear gas, grenades, and smoke bombs, and beat and tortured worshippers, including women.

Meanwhile, clashes erupted across the occupied West Bank over the attack on worshipers at the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque. Dozens of Palestinians have been injured in clashes that erupted in the occupied West Bank after Israeli forces stormed the Al-Aqsa compound, according to Palestine’s Wafa news agency.

The agency also reported that at least 12 people were injured after Israeli forces fired poison gas in Nablus. Another person was wounded by live fire in the town of Beit Umar, near the northern city of Hebron.

Dozens of people in Beit Umar town also reported suffocation due to toxic gas, WAFA reported. The state-run Palestinian news agency also reported clashes between Palestinian and Israeli forces near the cities of Jenin and Bethlehem.

Al Jazeera reports that the tension that followed the latest attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque has spread to other parts of occupied East Jerusalem. A 14-year-old boy was reportedly shot and injured in a clash with Israeli forces.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council is discussing the Al-Aqsa Mosque attack and the resulting tensions. The UN Security Council will hold an emergency session on Thursday to discuss the violence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, according to diplomats. The closed-door meeting was called at the request of the United Arab Emirates and China, diplomats told Reuters.
