Meanwhile, a spokesman for Harry and Meghan told The Sunday Times that the couple had been invited to attend King Charles’ inauguration. An e-mail has been sent from the royal office inviting them.
Harry and Meghan leave the throne in 2020 in the United States. The couple currently resides in California. However, despite their abdication, the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still retained.
Using this title, their spokesperson added that it was not immediately possible to say whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would attend the event. Buckingham Palace declined to comment. May 6 is also Harry and Meghan’s son Archie’s birthday.
In a recently published autobiography, a Netflix docuseries, and numerous interviews, Harry has spoken about the tensions between members of the royal family. Following these revelations, the distance between Harry’s father, Charles III, and his older brother, William, grew.
Last Saturday (March 4), Harry told a trauma specialist: ‘For a long time, I felt like I wasn’t being treated like any other member of the royal family. I felt like a person who lost his family. I didn’t want this trauma to spread to my children.’
