International Desk: Israel launched airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Thursday morning (February 2). Israel carried out the attack hours after repelling rockets fired from the Palestinian territories. This information was given by the news agency AFP in a report citing eyewitnesses.
According to the report, the Israeli army confirmed the incident after the explosion was heard from Gaza. They said in a statement that the attack was being carried out in the Gaza Strip.
According to local security sources and witnesses, the first attack was carried out at the training center of the Ejeddin Al Kasham Brigade. At least seven attacks were carried out here. It is the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Movement, Hamas. The training center is in Al Maghazi, which is in the heart of the Gaza Strip.
Israel carried out a second round of attacks on another training center of the Kasham Brigades in the southwest of Gaza City. After the first Israeli airstrikes, several rockets were fired into Israel from the Gaza Strip.
Israel has blockaded the populous Gaza Strip since Hamas took power in 2007. Gaza’s population is currently 2.3 million.
