The government will buy paddy at Tk 28 and rice at Tk 42 per kg

Dhaka Bureau: The government has fixed the purchase price of Aman paddy at Tk 28 per kg and rice at Tk 42 per kg. Apart from this, five lakh tons of rice and three lakh tons of paddy will be collected during the season. And paddy and rice collection will start from November 10.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Food Planning and Management Committee (FPMC) on Tuesday (November 1).

Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said after the meeting at the Secretariat. The Minister of Agriculture, Commerce, Health and Disaster Management was present at this time.
