International Desk: Supporters of Brazil’s radical right-wing former president Jair Bolsonaro attacked the country’s Supreme Court, Congress building, and other important buildings on Sunday (January 8). Lula da Silva, who won a third term as president of Brazil after defeating Bolsonaro, blamed Bolsonaro as the instigator of the attack. Lula was sworn in on January 1 this year. He claimed that Bolsonaro had incited his supporters to demand fresh elections by making baseless allegations that the last election was rigged.
