Dhaka Bureau: The Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) Fair is starting today at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital. This fair, the largest in the housing sector, will continue until December 25.
The inaugural session of the fair will be held on Wednesday (December 21) at noon at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center Hall of Fame. Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Tajul Islam will be present as the chief guest at the inaugural function.
Minister of State for Housing and Public Works Sharif Ahmed, Chairman of RAJUK Anishur Rahman Mia is scheduled to be present as a special guest at the fair.
According to Rehab, the fair will run from 10 am to 9 pm every day. Like last time, there are two types of tickets. The price per person for single entry is Tk 50, and multiple entry ticket is Tk 100.
On the first day, Wednesday, buyers and visitors can enter the fair from 2 pm. Remaining days will be open from 10 am to 9 pm.
Buyers can find affordable flats or plots from 180 stalls at the fair. Three diamond pavilions, seven gold sponsors, 22 co-sponsors, 16 building materials and 13 financial institutions are participating this time.
Incidentally, Rehab Housing Fair started in Dhaka from 2001. Apart from Dhaka, Rehab has completed 14 fairs in Chittagong. They have been organizing housing fairs abroad since 2004.
