Sports desk: In the last sixteen knockout match of the World Cup, the current champion France has warned everyone by defeating Poland 3-1 in the quarter-finals. Mbappé’s brace against Olivier Giroud’s Poland goal ensured victory for the Parisians. And this French star of PSG also owns the record in these two goals.

In the 74th minute of the game, Mbappe got the ball near the D-box and beat the Polish goalkeeper Seznik with a great shot at the near post. The intensity of his shots was so high that even goalkeepers like Sejni could do nothing.

With this goal, he got his eighth goal in the World Cup. Through this, he broke the record of Brazilian legend Pele. Pele scored 7 World Cup goals before he turned 24.

The French star broke that record with 8 goals before turning 24. This was Mbappe’s fourth goal in this World Cup. Through which he overtook Argentina’s Lionel Messi, Netherlands’ Cody Gakpo, Spain’s Alvaro Morata, England’s Marcus Rashford and Ecuador’s Ener Valencia.

Mbappe didn’t stop there. Scored his second goal from almost the same spot in the second half of the game in extra time. However, he scored this goal at the far post. Three Polish defenders were in front of him at the time of the goal. Mbappe fooled three defenders with a curling shot that beat goalkeeper Seznik.

The French star scored the ninth goal in the World Cup and sat next to Messi. Apart from Messi, who scored 9 goals in the World Cup, there are Ademir of Brazil, Vava, Georginio, Eusebio of Portugal, Karl Heinz Rummenigge of Germany, Ui Seiler, Paolo Rossi of Italy, Roberto Baggio, Christian Vieri, David Via of Spain and Guillermo Stabile of Argentina.

Mbappe played 11 matches in two World Cups and made this record. Messi scored 9 goals in 23 matches. Only Brazil’s Ademir (6 matches), Portugal’s Eusebio (6 matches) and Italy’s Christian Vieri (9 matches) have scored 9 goals in fewer matches than Mbappe.
