International Desk: An emergency meeting has been called in the UN Security Council on the situation in the Middle East after Iran’s missile attack on Israel. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. local time on Wednesday at the United Nations headquarters in New York, USA.
In a letter to the Security Council, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, accused Iran of trying to destroy Israel, while the Israeli ambassador called on the Security Council to condemn Iran and list the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a “terrorist organization.” Said
According to Iran, they launched missile attacks on Israel in retaliation for Israeli massacres in Gaza and Lebanon and assassinations of Hamas, Hezbollah, and IRGC leaders.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the elite wing of Iran’s military, fired 181 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday night. Most of the missiles, however, were destroyed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) before they hit their targets.
However, some missiles could not be destroyed. One Palestinian was killed and two Israelis were wounded in the West Bank area of Palestine by those missiles. The Times of Israel and AFP reported this information, citing IDF officials.
According to AFP, the spokesman of the Israeli military, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, issued a stern warning about Iran’s missile attack on Israel on Tuesday night. He said Tehran is pushing the Middle East towards conflict. The attack will be retaliated against.
On the other hand, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says that if Israel responds to this attack, more attacks will be carried out.
