It is known that the orchards of Kanchannagar Lot Allahabad, Dohazari Lalutia, Hatiakhola, Hashimpur, Jangal Hashimpur, Dhopachari,Dhopachari, and other hilly areas of the upazila have produced lemon as expected this year. Gardeners also got a good price for lemons. Many families have turned their fortunes around by planting lemon gardens in the mountains.

At present, present, hybrid large–size lemons are selling at Tk 800 per bar (basket),(basket), and domestic small–size lemons are selling from Tk 1800 to Tk 2000 per bar.

Gardeners said that there are more than 3 thousand lemon gardens in the hilly areas of the upazila. In these orchards, lemon growers have seen success by cultivating lemons using their own technology. Nasir Uddin. He said that for ages the farmers have been cultivating lemon gardens in the hills in their own way. The lemons produced here are in great demand in different parts of the country due to their abundant juice and incomparable flavor. As a result, every year wholesale lemon traders from different parts of the country collect lemons from the wholesale lemon markets established in different places, places, including Dohazari, Hashimpur, Bagichahat, Kanchannagar, Kanchannagar Railway Station,Badamtal, and Badamtal, and Dhopachari Bazar,Bazar, and supply them to different places, places, including Chittagong city.

Lemon orchards in hilly areas are currently holding lemons in bunches. The trees in the garden are falling under the weight of lemons. The scent of lemon is spread all over the hill. Currently, hundreds of lemon growers are busy picking lemons from the garden. Most of the family members here are directly and indirectly involved in lemon cultivation or lemon business. Since the soil of the hilly region is suitable for lemon cultivation, hundreds of farmers here have made themselves self-sufficient by cultivating lemon.

Those involved in lemon production said that the amount of lemon produced in the hilly areas and plains of Chandanish often rots due to a lack of cold storage. If a cold storage facility was established in this area, the lemons produced by the lemon growers here could be stored. Guava farmers will benefit from this.

According to the Chandanish Agricultural Extension Office, the hilly soil of Chandanish is ideal for lemon and guava cultivation. The soil here requires little maintenance and no pesticides to grow lemons. Moreover, due to the high demand for lemons produced in Chandnaish, the people of the hilly areas have become more interested in lemon cultivation. As a result, lemon cultivation has become an additional source of income for the people of this region. It is said that gardeners and growers are regularly advised and trained on lemon cultivation practices.
