Regional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Singh said a religious ceremony was going on in Mughlagari village, Hathors. That’s when the accident happened. So far, 27 people have died. Among them are 23 women, three children, and one man. Why and how this happened is being investigated.
According to local sources, the Indian media reported that a prayer meeting was organized in Mughlagari village. A large number of people gathered together in that meeting. An attempt is being made to find out what caused the rush. The bodies were recovered and taken to the hospital.
Local residents claim that the number of deaths may increase. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has inquired about the incident. He has already ordered the formation of an inquiry committee.
